Please note that if you have the Star Micronics USB printer, the steps are different. Please read this article instead if you have the Star model.


In order to connect your printer to the iPad you need to follow the steps below, remember that the printer has to be in a distance no longer than 5 meters from the iPad: 


Before we start, make sure that you already plugged your printer into the power, then turn it on by pressing the button at the top. A blue light should appear.  


In case you have only 1 printer:

                                                                                                                                              

1. Go to the iPad settings ⚙️, and turned ON your Bluetooth connection. 

2. You will need to look for a device named TM-m30 Connect your iPad to that device. 

3. When the iPad is already connected it to the printer go to SumUp app > Settings ⚙️.


4. Select Printers > Selected printers, there you will see the name of the printer which is:  TM-m30.


5. If it doesn't find your printer, select > Refresh Printers


6. Once your printer TM-m30 appears, select > Sign in (sometimes these happens automatically and the printer appears directly in Your printers, that means that it is already connected it!.

7. In the role column you will have to assign the Till Role to the printer, which means that if you want to use your printer only to print your tickets, you have to assign the role "CASH", if you want to print your orders you will have to assign the role of "BAR, KITCHEN". 


8. To assign the role you only need to select that column and choose the name of the role, that it will turn into a green colour. 


9. Select > Print test to make sure that it is correctly connected, if it is, it will print a small paper and it's done!.


In case you have 2 printers or more:


1. Go to your iPad settings ⚙️ and check that your iPad is connected to the SumUp network. (In case you don't see a SumUp Wifi, please click into this link /howtoconnectyourrouter/).


2. Make sure you are always connected to the SumUp Wifi network. In case you were connected to a previous wifi, you should click on it and select Forget this network.


3. Once you are connected to SumUp Wifi Network, you can now go to your SumUp application > Settings > Printers.


4. You will see more than one printer available, therefore you can connect all of them and then link the associated role for each one of the printers.


5. You can finally press on the Print test, in order to make sure that the printer works!.
